Once left the highway for Hunsur the ride was little bit bumpy, could not sleep at all. We reached Srimangala , our lodging place by 5 am in the morning. Its was beautifully view of the hills in the morning .

Saturday day one, we planned to make a short trek to near by hill in Srimangala and then will go to Irpu water fall. After having our breakfast, we went for a short trek near by hill.

We returned back to our base-camp by eventing, At the basecamp they arranged for bonefire , played Antaksari and danced to Bollywood tunes.
Sunday, After breakfast …….all of us were geared up for the real task ……..trek to Brahmagiri. we reached Irpu fall by 9:30am. As to enter into the Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, you need to be escorted by a forest guard(our guide for the trek). we started trekking for brahmagiri. As we entered the forest area we are greeted by leeches. Around 3 to 4 km stretch was full with leeches, could not enjoy the scenic beauty, most of the time busy removing leeches form our shoes.
Once we cross this stretch ……..we were in green grass covering all the hills……..its just looks awesome. “Welcome to heaven ” any where you look……….greenery……..and greenery.

we spotted some wild animals, but before i could capture dome photos with my camera …….run away seeing humans entering there area. Most of the trek was easy not much difficult for second timer trek. Only the last part of the trek was steep and taken real energy to climb to the top.

we reached at the top by 2:30 pm. Clouds are passing by……..sudden drop in temperature…..little bit rain……….poring down. We stayed there for an hour …….enjoying the beautiful scenery of western ghat.

It took less time to get down……..back at irpu fall…….had a chilled bath. Then had for Bangalore …………………..
I am a occasional book reader, and i have been looking for some public library or book lending library in Bangalore. While goggling through the net i came across three sites which provides these services.
1. www.eloorlibraries.in
Eloor library has largest collection of books related to different fields of literature. It has six branch in six cities: Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, and Delhi. Bangalore office in Infantry Road.
2. www.easylib.com
The First Internet Enabled Circulating Library in Bnaglore..the punch line of Easylib. Easylib office is in Koramangala.
3. www.readerslib.com
This is another book lending library, but have area restriction i.e it only delivers books in Koramangala, HSR Layout and Bellandur. Office is at Bellandur main road.
All the three library take nominal membership fee, once you are a member. You can search their book database on-line or walk-in and reserve your choice of book for delivery.

Recently i purchased Canon PowerShot S3-IS. Its a good camera but lacks raw picture format support in it. But now i find a way to get the raw support in my camera.
CHDK Firmware is now available for some Canon P&S digital cameras. This firmware hack supports the following features:

* Scripts execution (exposure/focus/… bracketing, intervalometer and more)
* File browser
* Text reader
* Calendar
* Some fun tools and games
The firmware is available for the following Canon digital camera models:
* A610, Fw: 1.00D (with CHDK version for 1.00E), 1.00E, 1.00F
* A620, Fw: 1.00F ( 1.00E is not compatible. You must upgrade to 1.00F first )
* A630, Fw: 1.00C
* A640, Fw: 1.00B
* A710 IS, Fw: 1.00A
* S2 IS, Fw: 1.00E, 1.00F, 1.00G, 1.00I (with CHDK version for 1.00G)
* S3 IS, Fw: 1.00A
Just go through the CHDK FAQ will will find lot of information regarding this.
Some screenshots in action:

Raw parameter menu

many more screen shots are there in CHDK firmware usage page.
Don’t worry it won’t do anything to your original firmware. You have to just copy CHDK firmware to the SD card, step by step configuration details are there in the CHDK faq.
Right now i am experimenting with my camera, now i know what i was missing in those photos.
